Familiarisation (Famil) Program

Showcase your NSW experience or accommodation as part of the ATE27 Famil Program. The ATE27 Famil Program provides international buyers with the opportunity to experience NSW tourism products first-hand pre- or post- the official ATE27 event.  The program plays an important role in helping buyers better understand and confidently promote NSW to their customers.  Participation may include hosting site visits, tours, experiences, dining experiences, transport services or providing accommodation, as part of a famil itinerary.

Can your business support participation through any of the following:

  • Complimentary inclusions (e.g. free tour or hosting a meal free of charge)
  • Value-in-kind contribution (e.g. free water bottle on arrival)
  • Reduced industry rate (e.g. 40% off standard retail rate)
  • ·Commercial rate only (e.g. no discount, same rate as available to the public)
Program dates 

The ATE27 Famil Program will be conducted pre- or post- the ATE27 trade show event

(16-20 May 2027).

Expressions of interest

Destination NSW will review all submissions and determine participation based on program requirements, destination representation and buyer suitability.


The following criteria will be taken into consideration:·      

  • Businesses should be export-ready and capable of servicing international visitors
  • Businesses should have experience with the international tourism market, including working with inbound tour operators (ITOs) and wholesalers.
  • ·Preference may be given to businesses participating as ATE27 Sellers.      
  • Consideration may be given to businesses that support the delivery of the famil program through complimentary inclusions, value-in-kind contributions or reduced industry rates.

Please note: Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee inclusion in the ATE27 Famil Program. Destination NSW reserves the right to determine final participation to ensure depth, diversity and regional representation.
