About ATE  

The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. Owned and delivered by Tourism Australia, ATE brings together Australian visitor economy businesses, tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world to conduct scheduled business appointments and participate in key networking events. ATE also provides international buyers with the opportunity to experience Australia’s visitor economy offerings first-hand through pre- and post-event familiarisations. 

ATE27 

ATE will return to Sydney in 2027, with ATE27 taking place at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) from 16-20 May 2027. More than 650 Australian tourism sellers and 600 international buyer delegates are expected to attend, creating valuable opportunities for businesses to connect with key decision-makers from global tourism markets.  

ATE27 Seller applications 

Eligible NSW visitor economy businesses will be able to apply to attend ATE27 as a seller, providing access to a program of pre-scheduled appointments with buyers.  Tourism Australia manages the seller application process, which is expected to open in October 2026. Further information and updates will be available on the Tourism Australia website as details are announced. 

ATE27 Additional opportunities 

As the host state, Destination NSW is offering NSW visitor economy businesses the opportunity to participate in ATE27 through the following activities: 

1. Participation in ATE27 familiarisation program
2. Hosting an early morning or evening delegate activity in Sydney during ATE27 
3. Open EOI to provide flexibility for additional product showcase and sampling opportunities that highlight the diversity and quality of NSW food and beverage offerings
